Castro Mirim Golf

The 27 hole Castro Marim Golf Course is located north of the town of the same name in the eastern Algarve next to the boarder to Spain. It is conveniently located just off the motorway Via Infante (N 22).It has three 9 hole segments, The Guadiana, The Atlantic, and The Grouse. All three golf segments enjoy views to the River Guadiana and across to Spain. The Castro Marim Golf Course should be played with thought because of many well placed and bunkers claiming many loose shots.

The Grouse nine holes commence with a Par 4 375 metre downhill on a narrow fairway which then climbs to an elevated green, asking the question as to the club choice from the tee and direction of the drive. Par 5 fourth hole of 433 metres is a dog-leg to the left and a good drive should reach the lake on the right side of the descending fairway. The next shot is uphill and the green is protected by a bunker, with young pines and the falling lie of the land to ask some questions.
