El Paraiso Golf is situated at the Km167 turn off on the N340 motorway, between San Pedro de Alcantara and Estepona, less than one hours drive from Malaga Airport and within close driving proximity of Marbella and Puerto Banus.
El Paraiso was designed by Gary Player and opened in 1973. It was bought by its members in 1993 and has undergone many improvements and refinements over the years. It is an extremely beautiful course, both in its location and its layout, with mature groves of exotic plants and trees.
Set in a spectacular valley which rolls from the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja mountains towards the sea…there are several streams meandering throughout the course as well as 2 large lakes, which require a good drive to make safe landings on the greens.

The 6th is a dogleg left Par 5, with bunkers either side and one of the lakes to the right. The tiered green requires an accurate approach. Play is suitable for all abilities; with a good mix of long and short par 5’s, par 5’s that can be achieved in 2 and Par 3’s of varying distances. This 18 hole Par 72 course is 6131m long but offers a very pleasant manageable walk. A useful feature is the use of small bushes to mark the 200m, 150m and 100m distances to the greens.
Open 7 days a week, the club also offers over 300m2 of practice grounds with 20 all weather mats, 10 covered mats and 15 targets on the driving range. There are excellent chipping and putting greens and practice bunkers. Pro tuition is available with David Westermark and visiting members can enjoy both tuition and on-course lessons.
