MIGUEL ÁNGEL JIMÉNEZ GOLF ACADEMY

Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf Academy is a golf academy with its own style, with the philosophy of one of the most important players in the world of golf, Miguel Ángel Jiménez. We have created the golf school in the image of its creator, instilling the values of this great sport to all the departments of our school.

A dream of Miguel was realised in February 2013, when the Miguel Angel Jimenez Golf Academy, located in Torremolinos was opened. The  official opening of the Clubhouse was in June 2014.

“I wanted to create a place where children and adults could learn to play golf at an affordable price on the Costa del Sol, and now I am very proud to say we have a superb facility.” said Miguel Angel Jiminiez at the time.

The Academy consists of a 9 hole Par 3 course which he designed. The highest quality grasses were used and the greens are undulating, quite fast but still enjoyable for a beginner to gain experience. The design of the 7th Hole was inspired by the 12th Hole at Augusta National, and this hole is nicknamed “Angustias” (Anguish).

There is a also a large two tiered driving range, practice chipping and bunker areas and putting green, and the range is floodlit. PING has installed a fitting centre and golf balls are supplied by Srixon. There are a number of Teaching Professionals who offer lessons on an individual or group basis.

When Miguel Angel is in spain between tours he can be seen practising at the Academy. .

There is a small golf shop and cafe to that visitors can relax after the golf. Visitors are welcome
